The political studies program curriculum is anchored upon a set of introductory courses generally regarded as the intellectual foundations of political science: Political Theory, Comparative Politics, International Relations, American Politics, Political Economy, and Foundations of the Law.  In addition to this core curriculum, the program offers a wide-range of courses in area studies (Latin America, East Asia, and the Middle East, to name a few), and thematic seminars on American foreign policy, international security, democratization, terrorism, development, and political methodology, among others.
